New: 3rd Run starts in Berlin!

In October 2010, 12 new PhD candidates from all over the world will start their studies at the GSGP. During their first intensive seminar from October 4-7, 2010, they will meet for the first time and will be introduced to their first online course Theory I by Prof. Manuela Spindler. We wish all PhD candidates a interesting and fruitful time during their studies at the GSGP.

First Intensive Seminar in China

On August 23 – 27, 2010 the first GSGP intensive seminar will take place at Fudan University. The PhD candidates of the first and second run will start their research semester in China by meeting altogether in Shanghai and will be introduced to their third online course Theory II by Prof. Siegfried Schieder. Apart from this introduction they will enjoy a rich extracurricular program such as a visit to the expo and a new media panel discussion co-organised with the CGP Seasonal School China and the Konrad Adenauer foundation.

New: Methodology Course

The new course in methodology designed by Prof. Schimmelfennig started this week with the first online tasks and exams. The students of the GSGP will complete the whole course online by using the platform Blackboard.

Intensive Seminar March 2010

In beginning of March, the students of the GSGP will be introduced by an intensive seminar to the Online course “Methodology” by Prof. Schimmelfennig. The seminar will last for 4 days and also includes a whole day of career building workshops in the field of international organizations.

Transatlantic Relations in Times of Globalization

The foreign and security policy adviser to Chancellor Angela Merkel, Christoph Heusgen, will give a lecture at John F. Kennedy Institute of Freie Universität Berlin on November 27. The title of the lecture is "The Importance of Transatlantic Relations in the Age of Globalization." The event is open to the pubilc and free of charge. The lecture will be given in English.
