In March and subsequently in August, representatives of all five partner universities of the Graduate School of Global Politics met in Shanghai to discuss the implementation of a joint degree. Both workshops at Fudan University and Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences were financed by the Robert Bosch Foundation.
The joint degree is intended to deepen the already successful cooperation and to offer the GSGP students an important asset on the international market in the future. As the first joint doctoral program between China and Germany in the Social Sciences, the GSGP is breaking new ground with this idea. Talks with the Chinese Ministry of Education in Beijing have been very supportive so far.
